Company 1 2nd Due on Company 2 Fire
Sun. Jan 10th 2010

At 0412 hours, Engine 11, Tanker 17, Support 12, and other Greene County units responded to 104 Cedar Drive for the reported house fire.  Chief 20 arrived and found a single level attached garage with heavy fire showing with heavy extension to the house. Engine 23 arrived and laid a line to the garage and began knocking the fire. Engine 11 arrived 2 minutes later and assisted in ventilation and advancement of lines. Water supply was a issue due to no hydrants in the area and therefore tanker shuttles were put into service from 3 stations. After water supply was setup, the fire was throughout the house and Engine 11's crew along with FF R. Sheler advanced a line to Side C and began an aggresive interior attack. Tankers from Stanardsville, Ruckersville, and Barboursville were used to shuttle water from Sheetz to the fireground. The fire was brought under control within an hour and a half.
